I have met individuals who view a religious building with great respect, whereas others, who self-identify as religious, can be some of the worst individuals. It is important to remember that religion is a man-made construct, whereas faith may be seen as a gift from a higher power.

My respect for individuals often has a somewhat inverse relationship with their level of religious devotion. I place a high value on truth as a fundamental human value, and the more devout a person is, the less likely their beliefs and statements are to align with it. If one wishes to discuss burning bushes, talking donkeys, jinns, or the splitting of the moon, they should be prepared to be treated as any other person, regardless of their religious claims.
