Inter-Racial Marriages: A Human Right, Not a Legal One
When it comes to who I choose for a life partner, nobody 'allows.' If you love someone of a different race, marry them. This is fundamentally a matter of personal freedom and human rights, not one of legality.
Personal Choice and Freedom of Choice
When you have made it and surpassed the age of being a grown-up, ideally, you marry who you want, regardless of race, culture, or ethnicity. As free people, we should be allowed to do what we want so long as we don't hurt anyone else. And I don't mean hurting your feelings, 'fuck your feelings.' I mean no physical harm.
Scientific Understanding of Race
Scientifically, race is a concept created by humans. You should be allowed to marry and co-create with whomever loves you as much as you love them. There is only one race: the human race. Cultural and ethnic mixing is not a new phenomenon; it has been around for thousands of years, depicted in various biblical stories. The only time it became an issue was when the constructs of 'race' and 'color' were introduced into social consciousness in the late 1800s, primarily to delay and stop people who were not of Northern European descent, particularly those of sub-Saharan African descent, from integrating. These individuals were kidnapped, enslaved, raped, and forcefully interbred, and their descendants were denied the opportunity to return to their ancestral homes after 250 years of bondage.
Moreover, no one of African descent in the Americas is 100% African. Even those with high African DNA strands are a mixture of West African cultures and ethnicities, which were thrown together to meet the labor needs of the Americas. Over time, African ancestry blends with indigenous and European ancestry, as the indigenous populations were worked to near extinction at the beginning of colonization.

In conclusion, unless you want to marry a cat or dog, humans marry someone from the human race. This is the natural order of things, and anyone who cannot see this is simply a bigot. Inter-racial marriages are harder than non-inter-racial marriages, but only because people make life harder for people in interracial marriages. Legalities aside, it is a matter of personal autonomy and human rights to choose a life partner without restriction.
