When Can Liverpool Win the Premier League After Everton’s Draw?

Currently, the race for the Premier League title is incredibly tight, with only a small difference between the top six teams. Every club has a chance to clinch the title, but the situation will become clearer in March or April when the season reaches its halfway point.

Current Standings and Prospects

With seven games played, Liverpool sits one point behind Leicester, with no statistical guarantee of winning the league. Realistically, Liverpool's chances will improve if Manchester City's situation doesn't improve and if Liverpool manages to overcome their injury issues. This could happen in April, given the close nature of the race.

If Liverpool plays Manchester City at the Etihad and draws, they would need three more points from the remaining six matches, assuming Manchester City drops two points. Alternatively, a Liverpool win at the Etihad, coupled with a Manchester City loss, would secure the title as Liverpool would earn three points and Manchester City would drop three points.

In the worst-case scenario, if Liverpool loses both of their upcoming games, they would still need five more points from the remaining six matches. This possibility makes it very likely that Liverpool will win the title within two weeks.

Final Steps to the Title

Five more points are needed for Liverpool to win the league. Manchester City can currently reach a maximum of 87 points, so Liverpool needs to reach 88 points. This means they need to either draw five more games, win two more games, or win one game and draw two games from their remaining eight games.

Theoretically, the earliest Liverpool can win the title is on June 24th against Crystal Palace, followed by a win against Manchester City on July 2nd. If Liverpool beats Crystal Palace but loses to Manchester City, the next opportunity to win the title would be on July 5th against Aston Villa.

Future Prospects

Considering the current lineup and coaching, it might take another year for Liverpool to consistently compete for the title. While we don't have star players like some other Premier League clubs, we have shown potential by beating strong teams like Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League. Winning the title takes time and needs to develop every aspect of the team's gameplay.

Despite the challenges, Liverpool's recent performances have demonstrated the potential to compete with any top team in the league. However, consistent performance and development are key to securing the title in the future.
